The seven-day weather forecast indicates continued rainfall across multiple regions, with some areas experiencing heavy downpours.

The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) has released the latest seven-day weather forecast for the period between Monday, March 25 and Monday, March 31.  

The report indicates continued rainfall across multiple regions, with some areas experiencing heavy downpours, while high temperatures persist in the coastal and northern parts of the country. 

According to KMD, isolated heavy rainfall is expected in several regions, including the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, and Lake Victoria Basin.

Rift Valley, Southeastern Lowlands, Coastal Kenya, Northeastern and Northwestern Kenya will also experience heavy rainfall.

The rainfall distribution map reveals that parts of the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, and coastal areas will record significant precipitation, with some locations receiving over 120mm of rain.

According to KMD, counties such as Narok, Taita Taveta, and areas around Tsavo will likely experience heavy downpours.

High temperatures will persist in northeastern, and northwestern Kenya, where the temperatures are expected to rise above 30°C. 

The report showed that counties like Garissa, Mandera, and parts of Turkana are expected to experience scorching conditions. 

The forecast also warns of chilly nights in the Central Highlands and the Central Rift Valley, with temperatures dropping below 10°C. 

Areas such as Nyahururu, Eldoret, and parts of Meru are likely to experience cool nights, according to the KMD report.
