State Department for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Principal Secretary (PS) nominee Stephen Isaboke has estimated his net worth at Ksh680 million.
Speaking before the Parliamentary Committee on Appointments on Friday, April 4, Isaboke broke down the composition of his wealth which includes real estate, vehicles and shares.
“My net worth is Ksh680 million, which is made up of land, houses and apartments, cars, shares, and bonds and cash,” he stated.
At the same time, Isaboke spoke on his leadership style, stating that he will be guided by law and will put focus on empowering and enabling those around him.
"My style of leadership will be guided by the law. The position of Principal Secretary, as established, has defined roles and responsibilities in the constitution and under the Public Service Commission Act.

"My leadership approach will focus on empowering and enabling those around me to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in delivering services to the public," he said.

On the media freedom, Isaboke noted that while freedom of speech is enshrined in the constitution, his approach will include referring to the law, making sure both government and media operators respect the constitution.
"Media freedom and freedom of speech are enshrined in our constitution and no one can touch them. My approach will be to refer to the law first and make sure the constitution is being respected by both government agencies and media operators," he stated.
Isaboke holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi.
He began his career with MultiChoice in January 2008 as the General Manager for MultiChoice Kenya, before being promoted to Regional Director for East Africa in November 2011.
In June 2018, he was appointed as MultiChoice Africa’s Group Executive Head of Regulatory Affairs, based in Dubai, making him the first Kenyan to join MultiChoice Africa’s corporate executive ranks in Dubai.
In addition to his roles within MultiChoice, Isaboke has served as the Chairman and Non-Executive Director of GOtv Kenya Ltd and a director at Aura Kenya.
