Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has responded to former Public CS Justin Muturi’s claims that he is fond of hanging around State House.
Speaking on Wednesday, April 9, during an interview on JKLive, Duale questioned whether hanging around State House was wrong.
“What is wrong if I hang around State House, it is the seat of power? Is there a crime? If he didn’t have the privilege, he should not be envious of me," said Duale.
He went on to say everyone loves to hang out around the seat of power, and there is no problem if he visits State House after finishing his work at Afya House.
“I am not saying I hang around State House, but if I have the opportunity to hang there after I finish my work at Afya House, have a cup of tea, see the boss, I will go and sleep very well,” Duale remarked.

Further, the Health CS said he has respect for Muturi and would look for him and hold talks over the issue.
"I served him when he was the Speaker and I was the Leader of the Majority. He is a man I have a lot of respect for, but there are certain offices, the Offices of the Chief Justice, Attorney General, Speaker, Leader of Majority, Deputy President, the society sees you with a different lens, and when you speak, they expect something from you. I will look for my friend and talk to him," Duale added.
On April 4, Muturi recounted when former Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, former ICT CS Eliud Owalo, and Sports CS Salim Mvurya held a meeting with former DP Rigathi Gachagua, trying to find out his broken relationship with President Ruto.
Muturi noted that days after the meeting, CS Duale confronted Machogu, Owalo, and Mvurya over the meeting, and they had to go to President Ruto to tell him the details of their meeting.
“I found Mvurya and Owalo very scared, and they told me they had been confronted by Duale, and he asked them what they were doing with Gachagua.
“I told them the best thing is to go and tell the President what it is that we discussing because if you see Duale raising issues and he is one of the people who love hanging around State House he might go and report the wrong thing,” said Muturi.
