Former State House Digital Director Dennis Itumbi has linked a senior officer at the office of the President to the chaotic incidences during DP William Ruto's visit to Murang'a.

Itumbi through his social media pages challenged the Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai to take against the officer who he did not name.

He told the IG to be cautionary in his actions saying the International Criminal Court (ICC) has a clear focus on personal responsibility in cases concerning crimes against humanity. 

"Dear IG, take action on the person from the Office of The President who called to withdraw security in Muranga.

"Remember, ICC is about PERSONAL Responsibility. There is a pattern of using Police to cause chaos for political ends, supervised by your office," he wrote on Twitter.

He made the remarks moments after senior officers in Murang'a reported that they had been ordered to withdraw security from the event despite intelligence reports pointing to possible confrontations.


Two people were killed in the Sunday morning protest at Kenol, where the Deputy President  William Ruto presided over a fundraising at the AIPCA church.

Area leaders Alice Wahome, Ndindi Nyoro and Women Rep Sabina Chege have all been fingered in the matter that's under investigation.

 The Inspector-General of police on Monday directed for the immediate arrest of MPs Ndindi Nyoro and Alice Wahome but the two DP Ruto allies have defied summonses.

The two MPs dared the police to arrest them saying they would not surrender to the authorities.
