"I have no reason at all right now to be an enemy of Rigathi. And even if Rigathi called me right now, I would pick up."

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has revealed that he has never spoken to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Speaking on Thursday, April 17, during an interview with NTV, Natembeya said he is not working with Gachagua.

The Trans Nzoia noted that if he was talking to Gachagua, the government would have already known through Intelligence.

"The government has intelligence; if they want to know whether Natembeya is communicating with Rigathi Gachagua, even if I use a basic phone,  they will know. I have never spoken to Gachagua, not even once when he was the Deputy President and even now,” said Natembeya.

However, Governor Natembeya said he is not Gachagua’s enemy and that their political ideologies align.

The Trans Nzoia Governor further said he will gladly receive Gachagua’s phone call if he calls him.

"As Natembeya, I can say that Rigathi and I are not enemies. Don't push your enemies onto me; I have no reason at all right now to be an enemy of Rigathi. And even if Rigathi called me right now, I would pick up,” Natembeya added.

At the same time, Natembeya said he has never exchanged words with President William Ruto and he only critics what he feels is not going right.

“There is no day I’ve ever responded to or exchanged words with the President, not even using the names he has been called.

"I only speak facts. For example, the issues with SHA are because health has been devolved, and I understand the problems facing SHA,” Natembeya remarked.
