The Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has flagged an advert circulating on social media claiming the hospital has 735 job vacancies.
In a statement on Sunday, April 20, KNH warned members of the public against falling for the fake advert.
The hospital noted that the fake advert is designed to collect personal information or demand payment from unsuspecting Kenyans.
“Beware of this fake job advertisement being shared on social media, falsely claiming to offer employment at Kenyatta National Hospital. This fake job post is designed to mislead job seekers and may attempt to collect personal information or demand payment for processing fees,” read part of the statement.
KNH pointed out that it never asks for payments when recruiting staff to the facility.

The hospital called on members of the public to always verify job openings via its official website.
“Please Note: KNH never asks for payment at any stage of recruitment. Always verify job openings through our official website (http://knh.or.ke). Stay vigilant and share this message to protect others from fraud,” KNH added.
The advert, which has since been flagged, claimed there were vacancies for nurses, medical and nursing assistants, IT officers, office secretaries, biomedical technicians, security guards, public health officers, theatre technicians, storekeepers, and cleaners.
The clarification comes after the Social Health Authority (SHA) flagged a circulating job advertisement for Human Resource Officers and other positions in the authority.
The notice falsely claimed all positions were permanent and pensionable, except internships and attachments.
