The Kenya Meteorological Department on Wednesday, April 23, revealed that the ongoing rains will begin to subside from this weekend.
Most parts of the country have been experiencing heavy rains in the last couple of weeks.
The rains have also intensified in recent days, with some parts of the country also witnessing floods during the heavy rains.
Even with the projected reduction of intensity, Kenya Met did not detail the exact day when the rains would stop.

"Significant reductions in intensity and spread likely from the weekend," read the statement in part.

Notably, at the beginning of the week, Kenya Met had projected more rain during the week for most parts of the country.
Equally, the department noted that some parts of the country would experience cold nights as a result of the ongoing weather patterns.
"Average daytime (maximum) temperatures of more than 30°C will be experienced in the Coast, North-eastern and North-western Kenya and isolated areas in Western Kenya," Kenya Met projected.
"Average night-time (minimum) temperatures will be less than 10°C in some parts of the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley and around Mt. Kilimanjaro."
