Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has recounted how Pope Francis kicked him out of his office during his visit to Kenya in 2015.
Speaking during a mass on Friday, April 25, Uhuru revealed someone (whom he did not mention) had requested to see the head of the Catholic Church.
The former President detailed that he submitted this request to the Pope, who, in turn, agreed to see the said person.
Following Pope's agreement, Uhuru invited the said person to the office. However, he noted that the duo did not engage in any conversation as the Pope wanted their privacy.
As a result, the Pope asked him (Uhuru) to leave the office.

"Somebody had really requested that they would like a moment with his holiness. I did not know how to put this. Anyway, I put the message across and he said no problem. So invited the person over to my office and we sat and I went back to my seat," he recounted.
"There was silence in the room. His Holiness turned and looked at me and told me, 'I thought you said that he wanted to talk to me.' So for the first time as President, another Head of State threw me out of my own office, which I found to be the most incredible."
Further, the former Head of State mourned Pope Francis as a humble man, adding that he would follow up on the conversation he had with the said person.
"The most important thing to me was that a leader of over a billion people across the world chose to engage with this person."
"He followed up with them even after he left Kenya. He engaged with the person. What greater humility can you ask of a man?" Uhuru posed.
Pope Francis died on Easter Monday at the age of 88. He is remembered for his humble gestures that were evident during his tours across the globe.
