Kenya Power has announced scheduled maintenance works in parts of Nairobi and seven counties across the country.
In the notice issued on Wednesday, May 14, the utility firm indicated that the maintenance works would begin on Thursday, May 15, at 9 am until 5 pm. Therefore, residents were notified of the power disruption.
The Nairobi estates to be affected include parts of Parklands, Deliverance (Mbagathi and Langata), and South C.
Parklands: Suswa Rd, Suswa Lane, Visa Oshal School, part of General Mathenge Road, part of 2nd & 3rd Parklands and parts of Kusi Lane
Deliverance: part of Mbagathi Rd, Akila III, Airport View Estate, part of Langata Road, AP Uhuru Camp, Mbagathi Road, Nairobi West Prison, Deliverance, Dam View Estate, Nyayo Highrise Estate, AMREF, Canaan Estate, Montezuma Funeral Home, Mbagathi Hospital, Defense Memorial Hospital, Texas Cancer Centre and Qwetu Mbagathi Way.

South C: Kenya Water Institute, Akiba Estate, Akiba Court 3, Five Star Estate, Halai Estate, Midlands Court Estate, Tepro Homes, Manifest Estate, Sifa Springs Estates, Missionary School, Nairobi Water and adjacent customers.
In Kiambu County, the scheduled maintenance work is set to be undertaken in Juja Town and Kalimoni Hospital. Other areas are Tinganga, Nyauto, Kamiti, and Thindigwa Mushroom.
Meanwhile, in the Nandi County, maintenance works have been scheduled Tulwo and Kamobo.
In Kisii, the affected areas will include Kangwana, Kianate, Nyamache, Nyamagwa and adjacent customers.
Likewise, in Nyeri County, power will be out in Kangaita, Mirichu. Mukutu Market and Kahuhia in Murang'a County will also experience the outage.
In Kirinyaga County, the outage will be witnessed in parts of Kagio Town and Baricho.
Lastly, in Garissa County, the planned outage is set to be undertaken in Garissa Referral Hospital, Garissa Ndogo, Garissa Water Revenue Offices, ADC, Dobale, Bulla Mzuri, Bashal, Tawakal, South C, and Garissa County Assembly.
