Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi says former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua is the best fit to face off with President William Ruto in the 2027 general election.
According to the lawyer, Gachagua has the numerical strength compared to the other figures in the opposition.
Ahmednasir projected Gachagua securing at least four million votes from his support base.
In his analysis, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka would manage slightly over one million votes, perhaps making him fit for the running mate post.
"Gachagua is the only prospective presidential candidate who can bring four million votes to the table. Kalonzo is second with about 1.5 million votes. Fred Matiang'i can bring 400k plus Uhuru Kenyatta. The rest can manage 10k to 250k votes," Ahmednasir said.

Gachagua officially launched his new political party, dubbed Democracy for The Citizens Party (DCP), on May 15.
The party, which adopts the slogan Skiza Wakenya was unveiled on Thursday, May 15, at its headquarters along Musa Gitau Road in Lavington.
DCP will be represented by neon green and white colours — a symbol, Gachagua said, of renewal, transparency, and inclusivity.
The outfit would be his brand as he negotiates with other principals from the opposition.
Others eyeing the presidency are former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, PLP leader Martha Karua, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, and DAP Kenya's Eugene Wamalwa.
The principals have vowed to stick together in their mission to unseat Ruto.
Gachagua said he was ready to back any candidate that the coalition settles on, as he declared his interest in running for the presidency.
