Kenya Power has announced that several parts of the country will experience planned power interruptions on Tuesday, May 27.
In a statement on Monday, May 27, Kenya Power said residents of Nairobi's Githurai 45 and Lucky Summer are expected to be affected by the outage from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Githurai 45, the affected locations include Co-op Bank Githurai, Naivas, Kingdom Sacco, Mt. Kenya, Kimbo, Mwana Mukia, Clanne Academy, Kassmatt, Kwa DO, Mukinye, Mwiki School, Kimbo Police Station, Farmers Choice, parts of Clay City, and surrounding customers.

In Lucky Summer, power will be interrupted in Cieko and nearby areas.
The outages will also extend to parts of Trans Nzoia County, where areas such as Bikeke, Alakara, Meru Farm, Norek, Welcome, and Mogoywet at Wamuini A are set to experience power cuts between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Specific areas expected to be affected include Bikeke Boys, Bikeke Girls, Area 51, Maili, Machungwa, Wehoya, Musemwa, Misemwa, and Nyakinywa.
In Uasin Gishu County, areas such as Chuiyat, Usalama Academy, Koisagat, Kamoiyo, and Chuiyat Secondary School will also be without electricity during the same period.
Nandi County residents in Kurgung and Tulwo have also been advised to prepare for outages.
In Kakamega County, the affected areas include Makunga Market, Ikoli Market, Navakholo Market, Nabacha Market, Karanda Market, and the Mumias Weigh Bridge, all of which will be without power for most of the day.
