The National Defence University has announced a series of job vacancies across various directorates, inviting qualified individuals to apply for positions ranging from academic, administrative to technical roles.
In a notice, the institution announced vacancies in several departments including the Office of the Vice Chancellor, Internal Audit Directorate, ICT Directorate, Corporate Communications, Quality Assurance, Finance and Accounts, Human Resource Management, Academic Affairs, and the Registration and Admissions Directorate.
Among the available positions is the Deputy Director, Supply Chain Management (Grade 5), a key role within the Supply Chain Management Directorate.
The university is also seeking a Principal ICT Officer (Grade 7) within the ICT Directorate and a Senior Lecturer in Medical Surgical Nursing and Critical Care Nursing (Grade 5 Academic) under the Academic Affairs Directorate.
Other advertised positions include Assistant Director, Internal Auditor (Grade 6) under the Internal Audit Directorate, Principal Finance and Accounts Officer (Grade 7) under the Finance and Accounts Directorate, and Senior Records Management Assistant II (Grade 8) under the Registration and Admissions Directorate.

There are also vacancies for Senior Librarian (Grade 8) and Principal Librarian – Cataloguing and Metadata (Grade 7) within the Library Services.
Additionally, the Academic Affairs Directorate is seeking lecturers in Nursing, Disaster Management, and Geography (Remote Sensing and GIS).
Applicants are required to submit either hardcopy applications addressed to The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Finance and Administration), National Defence University-Kenya, P.O BOX 3812-20100, Nakuru.
Alternatively, applications may be submitted online via email to [email protected] with the advertisement name and number clearly indicated on the subject line.
All applications must be received by Tuesday, June 25, at 5PM; late applications will not be accepted.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to present originals of various documents during the interviews, including academic and professional certificates and transcripts, identity cards, and letters of recognition from professional bodies where applicable.
They will also be required to submit valid clearances from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), any of the Registered Credit Reference Bureaus (CRBs), and a Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
The university noted that no application fee is required and warned applicants against falling victim to fraudsters.
“Application for employment in National Defence University-Kenya is free to all qualified candidates.
"Bribery and other acts of corruption are against the law and anyone suspected of being culpable of such will be disqualified, arrested and prosecuted in a court of law,” the university warned.
