In the case dating back to June 2024, Katana is said to have destroyed a perimeter wall erected by the landowner, a land which was subdivided into three plots, an acre each.

Detectives in Kilifi South opened an inquiry and painstakingly pursued the case, and found out that Katana was culpable.

The sleuths forwarded their findings to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), which also approved the charges against the suspect.

While appearing before the Shanzu Chief Magistrate’s court, Katana pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded at Shimo la Tewa prison till June 11, 2025, awaiting a pre-bail report.
