A public vote will determine the winner, who will walk away with Ksh100,000.

The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, has unveiled a design contest for Kenyan youth, offering a reward of Ksh100,000.

In a statement on Saturday, June 7, DCP invited youths with graphic design skills to try their luck in the competition.

The party explained that the contest seeks a creative design that will represent the face of its Youth League.

The winning design should be fresh, bold, and tell a compelling story about the DCP Party, as it will be featured on official party merchandise.

The design should also maintain the youth’s slogan, ‘Ssshhhh… Skiza WaKenya.

“Are you ready to sketch the face of the Party Youth League? This is your chance to speak through color.

“We are looking for an epic design — something fresh, bold, and that tells a story — for our official merchandise: T-shirts, berets, and much more,” read part of the statement.

Only Kenyans between the ages of 18 and 35 are eligible to participate in the design contest.

Participants are required to share their designs via the party’s official email, [email protected], before June 12, 2025.

A public vote will determine the winner, who will walk away with a Ksh100,000 cash reward.

“The winning design, chosen by public vote, will receive Ksh 100,000 in cash,” the DCP party added.

On May 15, Gachagua unveiled the DCP Party at the party headquarters in Lavington, Nairobi.

The party, which adopts the slogan Skiza Wakenya, is represented by neon green and white colours, while its symbol is a listening ear.
