Kenya Power has announced planned electricity interruptions across parts of Makueni, Nyeri and Kilifi Counties on Wednesday, June 25.

In a statement on Tuesday, June 24, the company listed several specific areas that will be affected by the power outages.

In Makueni County, residents in the whole of Kola and Wote will experience power loss between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Areas expected to be affected include Kilyungi, Kitundu, Utangwa, Ukia, Mukuyuni, Kilala, Kali, Nziu, Lake Oil, Sarova, Nthongoni, Kyambalasi, Kiniu, Luani and surrounding areas.

In the Mt. Kenya region, multiple locations within Nyeri County are set to be affected. 

Power interruptions will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Wariruta Market, including Sagana Falls Village, Mungaria Village, Thaithi Market, and sites hosting Safaricom and Airtel boosters, among adjacent customers.

Also within Nyeri, Kirichu Market and Mweiga will be impacted during the same time window. 

Areas listed include Ndurutu Market and Coffee Factory, Chaka Ranch, Brookside, All Concrete Crushers in Millimani Chaka, Kamatongu, Honi, Mwireri, Kiawara, Lamuria, Bellevue, Kabendera, Ruirie, Kariminu and Tanyai.

Other affected areas are Nairutia, Mugunda, Ngobit, Kariguini, Mahiga Meru, Matopeni, Aberdare Country Club, Amboni, Bondeni, The Ark Hotel, Kanyagia, Babito, Mahiga, Sangare, Kabati, Endarasha, Mwiyogo, Embaringo, Charity, Pura, Kiamunyuru, Watuka, and nearby customers.

In the Coast region, Kilifi County will see power disruptions in Mtondia and Chumani areas between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

Affected regions include parts of Mwango, Mkoroshoni, Basi, Mongoloni, Mtondia, Tezo, Chumani, Magorani, Zowerani, Ngerenya, Roka, and adjacent areas.
