The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has flagged a fake quote that was attributed to its party leader, Raila Odinga.
In a statement dated Friday, July 4, the party stated that the remarks were not made by the ODM boss.
In the fake quote box, it had been alleged that Raila called out Kenyans for betraying him following his formation of the broad-based government with President William Ruto.
According to the authors of the fake quote box, Raila made the remarks at an event on Friday.
"Another fake one," the party responded over the post.

Raila last posted on his social media account on Thursday when he met India's High Commissioner to Kenya.
The ODM boss has been facing criticism following the formation of the broad-based government.
His opposition counterparts have also accused him of neglecting their course by joining hands with the government.
In some cases, he had been criticized for backing the Adani-JKIA takeover, which caused an uproar among Kenyans before its cancellation.
"I’m shocked that Raila Odinga regrets its cancellation. How can any patriotic Kenyan mourn the end of an agreement that would have compromised our critical infrastructure?" Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka stated in June.
"Our airports belong to Kenyans. Our sovereignty is not for sale. Such deals will never see the light of day in Kenya—not on our watch."
