Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across nine counties on Tuesday.

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across nine counties on Tuesday, July 15.

In a statement on Monday, July 14, the company said the outages are part of ongoing maintenance efforts.

In Nairobi County, residents along parts of Naivasha Road will experience a power outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Affected areas include Gathodeki, Naivasha Road Flats, St. John Catholic Church, Ngina Road, Precious Blood Riruta School, Kawangware Timber Yard, Kawangware KBS, Kawangware 46, Kawangware CDF, and Kawangware DC’s and DO’s Offices. 

Others are Kawangware Law Courts, Kawangware Shell and Lukan Petrol Station, Ndurarua Primary School, parts of Kinyanjui Road, Kawangware Market, KWFT Kawangware, parts of Kawangware Estate and Ndwaru Road.

Parts of Kikuyu Road, Kwa Nganga Flats, Sam West, Kikuyu Road Swamp, Nembu Primary and Secondary Schools, parts of Waithaka Shopping Centre, Mukarara, Mithonge, Maono Estate, Kagondo, Kiuru, Muhuri Road, and adjacent customers will also be affected.

In Kericho County, the disruptions will affect Kipkelion and Fortternan areas between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. 

Affected locations include Kipkelion Town, Barsiele, Blue Hills, Tunnel, Fortternan, Murao, Toroton, Cherara, Kutung, Chepkechei Secondary School, Liloch, Kasheen, Kaptneet, Kipkeremwo, and nearby customers.

Parts of Nandi County, particularly Chebarbar and Chepterit will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In Siaya County, under the Western Region, power will be interrupted in Apate and Sidundo between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

Areas set to be affected include Apate Market, Hawinga Girls, Sidundo Market, and Hawinga Market along with surrounding areas.

In Migori County outages will affect the entire Sori Town, including Alendo Village and Secondary School, Aora Chuodho, St. Camelus Hospital, the Center area, God Oloo, Sidika Village, Sori Malimali, Sori Beaches, parts of Kiabuya, and surrounding customers.

In Nyeri County power will be unavailable in Juakali and Ngoru areas from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Specific areas include Ihwa, Ngoru, Juakali, 24, Miagayu-Ini, Zaina, and nearby locations. 

Similarly, Murang’a County will experience interruptions in Kenol and Kariguini, affecting parts of Kenol Catholic, Kariguini Primary, Kibiko, Kwa Jeshi Booster, and surrounding customers.

Kiambu County will also be impacted, particularly the areas around Pascha Dairies and Kamuchege. 

Affected areas include Githunguri DO’s Residence, St. Josephs, Pen Elite Academy, Kahuruko, Wangare, Githongo Factory, Murera PCEA Church, Kinenie Village, Reminder Petrol Station, and adjacent areas.

In Kilifi County, power will be interrupted in Kakuyuni and Gongoni areas from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Affected locations include Krystalline Gongoni, Gongoni Town, Mambrui Town, KBC Marekebuni, Marafa, Garashi, Wakala, Karibuni Villas, Beach Bay, Mwembe Resort, Savannah, Mijikenda Residence, Angels Bay, Sabaki, and surrounding areas.
