Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has returned to his office after a 60-day court-ordered ban over corruption allegations.
In a statement on Monday, July 21, Natembeya said he is stronger, more focused, and determined to serve the people of the county without distraction.
"After 60 days away, I’m back—recharged, focused, and ready to serve you with full force!" he declared.
Natembeya stated that his administration’s development agenda would not be derailed, further reaffirming his dedication to fulfilling the promises he made during his campaign.
“No one will shake our resolve to rewrite our story. We are determined to fulfill every campaign pledge and ensure that the people of Trans Nzoia continue to enjoy the benefits that devolution has brought. That is my promise," he added.

Natembeya also addressed what he described as coordinated attempts to destabilize his government, warning that he will not be moved.
"If I were to give in to fear, I would be failing the very people who entrusted me with leadership. I am fully aware that there are forces working to distract and derail us, but we will not be moved," he further said.
On May 20, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya was barred by the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court from accessing his county office for 60 days, following his release on bail related to graft charges.
The court granted Natembeya bail; Ksh 500,000 in cash or a Ksh1 million bond with a surety after he was charged with unlawful acquisition of public funds and conflict of interest.
As part of the bail conditions, the court barred him from entering his official office for 60 days.
He was also prohibited from leaving the country without the court’s permission and was ordered not to contact any witnesses or comment publicly on the case.
The charges against him involve allegations that between January 2023 and April 2025, he unlawfully obtained Ksh3.25 million through county payments made to companies allegedly linked to him.
