The Ministry of Interior and National Administration has announced a major reshuffle aimed at enhancing efficiency and improving service delivery across its departments.
In a statement on Saturday, July 26, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen said the appointments and deployments take effect immediately.
"To enhance efficiency and improve service delivery within the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, we have made the following changes. Congratulations and godspeed as you embark on your new roles," read the statement.
Among the key appointments is Jacob Narengo Namulen, who has been named Principal Administrative Secretary for Internal Security.
On the other hand, Beverly K. Opwora has been appointed Principal Administrative Secretary for National Administration.

Thomas Saka takes over as Secretary for Internal Security, while Moses Kipkoech Lilan has been appointed Secretary for National Administration.
In another significant appointment, Dickson Liyayi Magotsi becomes the new Secretary for Policy and Liaison.
Lastly, Gilbert Kitiyo has been named Regional Commissioner for Nairobi while Joshua Nkanatha has been deployed as the new Regional Commissioner for Central Kenya.
Elsewhere, President William Ruto has sanctioned a host of fresh appointments in government, including the appointment of Kenya Red Cross Secretary General Abbas Gullet to the board of directors at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
"I appoint Abbas Gullet to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Kenyatta National Hospital for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 25th July, 2025. The appointment of Samier Muravvej is revoked," read the president's notice.
Ruto also appointed Paul Ndung'u Kariuki as the nonexecutive board chairman for the Kenya National Public Health Institute, revoking the appointment of David Ndegwa Nyokabi.
"I appoint Paul Kariuki to be the non-executive chairperson of the Kenya National Public Health Institute for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 25th of July 2025," read Ruto's notice.
At the same time, Ruto revoked the appointment of Dr. Stanley Khainga at the helm of the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC), replaced him with Fredrick Were, who will be the new chairperson for the next three years.
"I appoint Fredrick Namenya Were to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 25th July, 2025," the notice read.
