Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has announced the timeline for the release of national examination results, revealing that learners will receive their outcomes before the end of the year and early next year.
Speaking on Wednesday, October 29, during a briefing to Parliament on the status of ongoing national examinations, CS Ogamba disclosed that results for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) will be released before December.
The Cabinet Secretary also stated that the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results will be released in January 2026.
The announcement comes as the national assessments and examinations continue across the country, with the government expressing satisfaction with the smooth administration of the tests so far.
CS Ogamba also provided an update on the capitation funds verification exercise that had delayed disbursement to some schools.

"Verification exercise that we were undertaking, and this came because of the issues that were raised by the Auditor General. So we thought it is a critical time for us to take stock and find out why those issues of ghost schools or ghost students of enrolment and enrolment are taking place," Ogamba explained.
The CS revealed that the ministry had been releasing funds progressively to schools as they completed the verification process.
"So what we were doing is that every period or every day that we were finishing the verification exercise, we were releasing funds to those schools," he stated.
However, by the end of the verification exercise, the ministry identified 990 schools, comprising 570 primary and 420 secondary schools, that had not submitted data on their student numbers.
"But we made a decision based on the term 2 numbers to release 50% of the capitation because we want to find out physically if these schools exist," the CS added.
The verification exercise was initiated following the Auditor General's concerns regarding ghost schools and inflated enrolment figures that were leading to improper disbursement of government capitation funds.

The KPSEA and KJSEA examinations commenced across the country on Monday, October 27. The KPSEA exams concluded on Wednesday, October 29, while the KJSEA exams are scheduled to end on November 3, 2025.
Meanwhile, the KCSE exams began on Tuesday, October 21, and will run until November 21, 2025.
The Ministry of Education has deployed massive personnel and security resources to ensure the integrity of the examinations. According to the ministry, 342,687 contracted professionals have been engaged in administering the assessments and examinations.
The contracted professionals comprise center managers, supervisors, invigilators, security officers, Ministry of Education staff, and Ministry of Interior and National Administration officers.
The government has also warned sternly against individuals circulating fake examination materials, with several suspects apprehended in collaboration with security agencies.
Interior PS Raymond Omollo revealed that a multi-agency team is conducting 24-hour surveillance on social media platforms to curb fake exam leaks and digital fraud.
"Overall, since the exercise, these examinations or assessments began, we have not had any major incidents worth worrying about, and this is because of the good coordination and collaboration that has happened between all the players, starting with the Ministry of Education, who are actually the primary owners of the assessment that is going on," he assured.
