Kenya Power has announced planned power interruptions in parts of Nairobi and six other counties on Wednesday, July 30.
In a statement on Tuesday, July 29, the company said the interruptions, which will last several hours, are part of scheduled maintenance.
In Nairobi, power will be off from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. affecting several areas including part of Argwings Kodhek Road and Muringa Road.
Specific locations include part of Oloitoktok Road, Methodist Guest House, Lions Lair Apartments, part of Ole Dume Road, Daykio Apartments, part of Argwings Kodhek, Pyramid Park, Elgeyo Marakwet Road, Muringa Road, 3D Hotel, Jehova Witness, Kevina School, Kulungu Road, Hatari Security and adjacent customers.
In Karen and Ngong Road area, the outage will affect Westwood Park, Rubis Petrol Station, Ngong Daily Farm, Mwitu Estate, part of Windy Ridge, Ngong View Estate, Kerarapon Road, KCB Training College, Karen Roses Farm, Total Petrol Station, Eagle Church, Former Shade Hotel, Shell Kerarapon, Karen Police, Tree Lane, Mutero PCEA Church and surrounding customers.

In Westlands, affected areas include Matundu Lane, part of School Lane, Clarence Hotel and nearby premises.
In Migori County, a select areas will be without electricity from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas are Kehancha, Kegonga, Ntimaru, Taranganya, Wikonge, Kiedege, Senta, Masangora, Gemu Kobito, Nyamotambe and adjacent customers.
In Nyeri County, maintenance work will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting the areas of Itiati and Gitunduti.
Other locations expected to be impacted include Ngandu, Kanyama, Unjiru, Kiamaina, Kiamaina Coffee Factory, Giakomu, Kiawanduha, Thangathi, Grad Kago, Kanjata, Ichuga Secondary School and Gathumbi.
Kiawarigi Market, Kiawarigi Coffee Factory, Kiangurwe, Gachuiro, General China, Kariga-Ini, Gathu-Ini, Mukonye, Kwa Karoki, Kiamucheru, Kihuri, Kianjuguma, Gikore, Gitunduti, Safaricom Boosters, Airtel Boosters and adjacent customers will also be affected.
In Nakuru County, parts of Olenguruone and Kiptagich will face outages between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Areas set to be affected include Olenguruone town, Ambusket, Kimugul, Saosa Market, Nukiat, Sigowet, Cheptuech Market, Irongo, Chepnyalilo, Wamkong, Kapkeet, Sukutek, Kiptagich Town, Kiptagich Tea Factory, Emitik Girls School and nearby customers.
In Nandi County, power in Kapsagawat will be interrupted from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. affecting Kapsagawat and its environs.
In Mombasa County, the Miritini area will experience power outages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Impacted customers include those located at AVA, KTDA-Miritini, BROLLE, New KCC, AGOL, RAW, Pwani Oil, KGI, Vikobani, Miritini Complex and surrounding areas.
In Kilifi County, the Kikambala area will be affected during the same hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
The outage will affect Zen Marine Ltd, Sun N Sand Beach Resort, Fairdeal Park, Swati Investments, Kikambala Catholic Church, Kikambala Primary, Kikambala Maweni, Kikambala Blue Sky, Voroni Homes, Kilifi Pearl, Miembe Saba, Mudzini School, Bodoi Stage, Bodoi Primary, Bodoi Kwa Ng'ombe, Bodoi Village, Salwa Kenya Ltd and adjacent customers.
