According to the cumulative rainfall outlook, regions in Western Kenya, parts of the Rift Valley, and the Lake Victoria Basin are likely to receive some of the heaviest rains.

The date indicated that some areas were expected to record totals exceeding 50 millimeters.

The Central Highlands, Nairobi County included, are forecast to experience steady showers in the coming days.

North-western counties such as Turkana and West Pokot will also see notable rainfall.

Meanwhile, coastal and eastern regions are expected to receive lighter rainfall, with occasional localized showers.

"Some areas may experience isolated thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon and evening hours," the department further noted.
