Kenya Power has announced that several parts in five counties will experience power outages on Sunday, August 10.
In a statement on Saturday, August 9, the company said the interruptions are necessary to allow scheduled maintenance works.
In Nairobi County, the outage will affect part of Parklands from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Areas listed include Part of Limuru Road, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Parklands, General Mathenge, Ring Road, Eldama Ravine Road, Kusi Lane, Suswa Road, Ngao Road, Jaralam Road, Sivachi Road, Mpaka Road and adjacent customers.
In Nakuru County, parts of Naivasha will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The affected locations are Fai Amarillo, Lower and Upper Kayole, Laini, Nyamathi, Kinungi, Roka Industries and Keroche Brewery.

Others are Kinamba, Maraigushu, Nyondia, Karate, Gatamaiyu, Livewire, NYS, DCK, Fish Eagle Inns, Oserian, Nyakinyua Farm, Kongoni, Sulmac, Goldsmith, Maela, Home Grown, Vegpro, Naivasha County Club, Ndabibi, Kamuta Farm, Biojule and adjacent customers.
In Trans Nzoia County, Kitale Industries and KCC, along with Stage Choma, Namawanga Kolongolo and adjacent customers, will face interruptions between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Kisumu County will see outages in two main areas. Kanyakwar and its environs, including Olago Aluoch, St. Paul’s Parish, Rural Academy, Riat, Francisca Sisters, Apunda, and Rural Access Camp, will be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, Mega City and Kachok, along with Manyatta, Total Nairobi Road, Rubis Kachok, Kisumu Polytechnic and adjacent customers, will be without power from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Vihiga County, the planned outage will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will affect Esibuye, Mwilonje, Ebusiratsi, Mundichiri, Ebukhaya, Ebusiloli, Magada, Esiembero, Ingidi, Ebubayi, Ikumu, Echichibuli, Esirambatsi Health Centre and adjacent customers.
