The National Police Service (NPS) has announced temporary road closures and diversions on 10 August 2025 as Nairobi continues to host the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024).
According to the NPS, the closures will affect major routes connecting Nairobi’s central business district with surrounding suburbs and highways as Kenya's Harambee Stars plays Morocco at Kasarani Stadium from 3PM.
Aerodrome Road will be closed between Madaraka Roundabout and Bunyala Roundabout. One lane of Lang’ata Road will be shut from Madaraka Roundabout to Lusaka Roundabout, while one lane of Mombasa Road will be closed from Lusaka Roundabout to Bunyala Roundabout.
These restrictions are expected to slow traffic in the affected areas, prompting authorities to recommend alternative routes to keep vehicles moving.
