The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has announced that its party nominations for the upcoming by-elections will be held on September 20, 2025.
In a notice issued by UDA National Elections Board Chairman Anthony Mwaura on Thursday, August 14, the party encouraged all interested aspirants to apply through its online portal.
"Notice is hereby given that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party nominations shall be held on 20th September 2025.
"Interested candidates are encouraged to apply for nomination by registering through the UDA party portal accessible at https://www.uda.ke," the notice read.
According to Mwaura, the registration period opens today, August 14, and will close on September 5, 2025, at 5:00 PM.

Additionally, the party outlined its non-refundable nomination fees.
For Members of County Assembly (MCA), the fee is Ksh50,000 for male aspirants, while female candidates, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWD) will pay Ksh25,000.
For Members of Parliament (MPs), the fee is Ksh250,000 for male aspirants, while female candidates, youth, and PWD will pay Ksh125,000.
Finally, for the Senate, the fee is Ksh250,000 for male aspirants, while female candidates, youth, and PWD will pay Ksh125,000.
UDA is expected to field candidates in several upcoming by-elections across the country.
For the National Assembly, the party will present candidates in Banissa Constituency, Kasipul Constituency, Magarini Constituency, Malava Constituency, Mbere North Constituency, and Ugunja Constituency.
For the Senate, UDA will field a candidate in Baringo County.
For the County Assemblies, the party will present candidates in Angata Nanyokie Ward in Samburu County, Chemundu/Kapng'etuny Ward in Nandi County, Chewani Ward in Tana River County, Fafi Ward in Garissa County, Kariobangi North Ward in Nairobi City County, Kisa East Ward in Kakamega County and Kabuchat/Chwele Ward in Bungoma County.
The party is also expected to field candidates in Metkei Ward in Elgeyo Marakwet County, Mumbuni North Ward in Machakos County, Narok Town Ward in Narok County, Purko Ward in Kajiado County, Tembelio Ward in Uasin Gishu County, Nyansiongo Ward in Nyamira County, Nyamaiya Ward in Nyamira County, Ekerenyo Ward in Nyamira County, Lake Zone Ward in Turkana County and Nanaam Ward in Turkana County.
The announcement comes barely a week after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) confirmed that multiple by-elections across the country will be held on November 27, 2025.
In a statement on Saturday, August 9, IEBC said the first gazette notice for the by-elections was issued on Friday, August 8.
The second gazette notice for the by-elections was published on Monday, August 11.
According to the notice, the first batch covered Members of County Assemblies for the 16 wards, while the second batch covered the Member of Senate seat for Baringo County and the six National Assembly seats.
"All By-Elections will be held on 27th November 2025. The gazettement of the By-Elections has been scheduled in two batches," the electoral body said.
