Kenyan fans who missed out on the tickets for the Kenya vs Zambia clash can follow the action in any of the eight bases across the city.

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has stepped up efforts to ensure order during Harambee Stars' matches at Nairobi's Kasarani Stadium.

The home team will be taking on Zambia on Sunday, August 17, at 3 pm, in its last group stages match.

FKF president Hussein Mohammed announced eight fan zones where Kenyan fans without the tickets for Harambee Stars can watch the action.

"Don't have a ticket? Worry not. You can watch today's Harambee Stars final group game against Zambia at your nearest fan zone," Hussein said.

He listed the bases as;

1. Uhuru Park – Nairobi CBD

2. Jacaranda Grounds – Embakasi

3. DC Grounds – Kibera

4. Safari Rally Grounds – Kasarani

5. Dandora Stadium – Dandora

6. Utalii Sports Grounds – Ruaraka

7. Pand Pieri Grounds - Githurai

8. Baba Dogo Grounds - Baba Dogo

The Kenyan federation has on two occasions been subjected to exorbitant fines by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) which cited security breaches after fans forced their way into the stadium.

The last incident was on Sunday, August 10, when Harambee Stars faced off with Morocco.

Thousands of fans who had not tickets breached Kasarani Stadium making it hold more than the standard capacity.

CAF imposed a Ksh 6.4 million fine on the local federation, and warned that further incidents would see Kenyan fixtures be taken to other venues outside the country.

FKF immediately embarked on measures to restore order in the tournament, involving the national government in enhancing the measures for order.

The stadium was capped at 27,000 fans only, 60% of what it is capable of holding.

The Ministry of Sports, in conjunction with City Hall, also intervened by setting up bases across Nairobi for fans without tickets to following the lives events at Kasarani.

President William Ruto also intervened by asking Kenyans to maintain order and follow the set up guidelines to preserve the fastrising profile of Kenyan football.

The Kenyan team has thus far had a good run in the tournament, winning two of its games and tying for a point in one.

The team has already secured a spot in the finals, already topping Group A with seven points.

A win or draw against Zambia will maintain the team's first position in the group.

The president fired up the team with cash prizes for every win, promising Ksh 2.5 per head should they win against Zambia.
