Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in parts of Nairobi, Narok, Migori, and Nyeri counties on Wednesday, August 20.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, August 19, the company said the interruptions will allow for scheduled maintenance works.
In Nairobi County, residents in Kiamumbi will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, affecting the entire Kiamumbi area and its adjacent customers.
Additionally, Muthaiga and part of Parklands will be hit by an earlier and longer blackout running from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Affected areas include Muthaiga, 6th Parklands, Legal Plaza, Mobil Plaza, Mwambao Road, parts of Limuru Road, Gertrude’s Hospital, and surrounding customers.

In the Central Rift region, sections of Narok County will also face power interruptions between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The areas listed include Dukamoja, Suswa, Naerenkiangare Market, Tikako Market, Lelongo, Dukamoja Market, Suswa Market, Olasit, Iseneto, Nkorionito, Narasha, Suswa Substation, and neighboring customers.
In the South Nyanza region, parts of Migori County will be affected, particularly Raguda and Wachara, with outages scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The blackout will affect Raguda Market, Raguda SDA, Wachara School, Wachara Market, Wang’aya Market, Raguda Village, and nearby customers.
Meanwhile, in the Mt. Kenya region, two key areas in Nyeri County will experience power cuts.
Kiamariga Market and its environs—including Kiamariga Police Station, Kiamariga Secondary School, Kiamariga Health Center, the village, and Safaricom and Airtel boosters—will be off supply from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Similarly, Endarasha Market and Charity Market will face an outage from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting Endarasha Market, Pura, Endarasha Secondary School, Watuka Market, Wandare Market, Embaringo Market, Watuka Village, Kimunyuru Market, and adjacent areas.
