Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in several parts of the country on Friday, August 22.
In a statement on Thursday, August 21, the company said the outages are set to affect parts of Nairobi, Narok, Nyeri, and Busia counties.
According to the schedule, parts of Lower Kabete in Nairobi County will be without electricity from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Affected areas include Lower Kabete Campus, Lower Kabete Primary, Farasi Primary, Peponi School, Farasi Crescent, Lower Kabete Road, New Kitsuru, Kitsuru Springs, Mwimuto Market, Gituamba, and surrounding neighborhoods.

In Narok County, the outage will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Areas to be affected include Mwea Mosque, Karira Hospital, Ndorome, Nguka, Gatitika, Maruraa, Marurab, Kasarani, Kangiciri, and adjacent customers.
Nyeri County will also be affected, with residents around Githakwa experiencing an outage from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Areas on the schedule include Githakwa Market, Githakwa Secondary School, Ihari Market, Ihari Safaricom Booster, Githakwa Chief’s Camp, Kabanya Clinic, and surrounding areas.
In Busia County, Kenya Power has listed Bumbe and Sigalame as the main areas to be affected.
The outage will last from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., impacting customers in Iguhu Hospital, Shisesia Village, Makhokho, Shirere, Iguyo, Khayega Playing Ground, and nearby locations.
