Kenya Power has announced planned power outages across five counties, including Nairobi, on Tuesday.

Kenya Power has announced planned power outages across five counties on Tuesday, August 26, to allow for maintenance work. 

In a statement on Monday, August 25, the company said the planned outage will affect Dandora Phase 1, Korogocho, Kamunde Road, Margret Kenyatta Hospital, and adjacent customers, in parts of Nairobi, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In Trans Nzoia County, affected areas include Kaplamai High School, Kipsingori, Botwa, Nyakinywa, Kapchepsir, Kimoson, Karara Choge Farm, and adjacent customers, also from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In parts of Kakamega County, the outage will cover Lutaso, Navakholo, Dorofu, Nambacha, Makunga, Ikoli, Eshikhulo, Emutete, and adjacent customers during the same hours.

In Kiambu County, power will be interrupted in Mahiga Homes, Kimunyu Secondary School, Banda Homes, Kimunyu Market, Riverside Estate, Croton Estate, Karunguru Estate, Muthaite Estate, Marram Estate, New Rain Hotel 0and Morris Wagachas Farm.

Crops Estate, Presidential Escort Units, KU Boma, Kays Estate, Daykio Estate, Ruera Estate, parts of Oaklands Estate, Rumera Dam, Nando Estate, and adjacent customers will also be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In parts of Mombasa County, areas affected include Kenya Meat, MICD, Mitchell Cotts, Awale, Total Changamwe Kipevu, Miracle Park Kibarani, and adjacent customers, also between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
