In another incident, a 17-year-old is in custody after stabbing a 28-year-old man to death in Utugi estate, Ruiru.

The deceased is said to have knocked on the assailant's door requesting to be guided on how to top up airtime.

He found her in the company of another lady and they were preparing supper after closing shop. The 17-year-old operates a grocery.

"Having been assisted, the suspect-who appeared tipsy-would not leave for his house, prompting the 17-yr-old to push him out while trying to lock the door behind him.

"Vexed by the unceremonious riddance, Oduor had grabbed the girl by her neck, pushing her into a corner," DCI revealed.

As the scuffle ensued, the other woman rushed out to seek help from neighbours.

"Meanwhile, the overpowered girl got hold of a knife that lay by her groceries stock, with which she stabbed her opponent through his intestines, killing him," DCI stated.

She has since been taken into custody pending investigations.
