Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in several counties, including Nyeri, on Wednesday.

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in several counties across the country on Wednesday, September 3.

In a statement on Tuesday, September 2, the company said the outages are meant to allow for planned maintenance works.

In Narok County, the outage will affect parts of Maasai Mara, including Nkoilale Market, Sekenani Market, Talek Market and adjacent customers from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In Elgeyo Marakwet County, power will go off between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in Tot, Chesongoch, Chesoi Market, Kipsaiya Primary, Maina Market, Chesoi Market, Sambirir Girls, Tuturung Market, Sambalat Market, Soko Bora and adjacent customers.

Nandi County will also be affected, with outages scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Kamarich Primary, Kamarich Booster, Kaboi, Kipkenyo Centre and nearby areas.

In Kitui County, residents in Masyungwa Market, Kathiani Market, Kalimbui Market, Katumbi, Mulangoni, Miramba Ikamba, Mwarangeni, Mamamalia Academy, Ngongoni, Kaivairya, Mwangea and adjacent areas will be without electricity from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

During the same timeframe, parts of Nyeri County, including Gathambo TBC, Gaturumo-ini TBC, Kiamigwi Primary School, Kiamigwi Village, Gitima-ini Village, Safaricom Boosters, Airtel Boosters and surrounding areas will also be affected.

In Murang’a County, the affected areas will include part of Kandara Feeder – Kalima-Mwaro Spur, covering St. Charles Lwanga, Mukoe Market, Githaiti C/Factory, Githuya Centre and adjacent customers, also between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Kirinyaga County will experience interruptions in Sagana Town, KPCU Sagana, Sagana Health Center, Chakaka Hotel, Royal Millers, NCB Sagana, Lower Sagana Primary, Kirinyaga High School, Magunas, Sagana Tanneries, Sagana Fisheries and nearby areas.
