Kenya Power has announced planned power interruptions across several parts of six counties on Monday, September 21.
In a statement on Sunday, September 21, the company said the outages are meant to allow for scheduled maintenance works.
In Kericho County, the maintenance will affect Londian Township, Barotion, Nukiat, Kipsirichet, Tuiyobei Market, Londian Sub District Hospital, Black Tulips Farm Cheres, Kapkondoo, Jagor, and adjacent customers.
The outage will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Bomet County, power will be interrupted in Koiwa Market and Sotit Market areas from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Affected places include Rook Tea Factory, Kobel Tea Factory, Siomo EPZ Tea Factory, Cheptalal, Taboino, Kitala, Kimarwandi, Embomos, Bosto, Satiet, Kaptebengwet, Kiptenden, and adjacent customers.
In Nandi County, the planned shutdown will affect Emrock Tea Factory, Himaki, Lelwak, Kogamei, and adjacent customers between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
In Kakamega County, parts of Matete and Mbande will be without power from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Areas to be affected include Matete, Mbande, Matsakha, Chebwai, Lueshe, Butali Sugar, Shivanga, Tombo, Butali Market, Namanja, Namagara, Cereal Board, and adjacent customers.
In Nyeri County, customers in Kirurumi and Gatumbiro areas will be affected from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The outage will hit parts of Wandumbi, Gatumbiro Market and School, Huhoini, Gaithuri Market, Kinyungu TBC, TEWASCO Water Plant, Kirurumi Dispensary, Gathathini Secondary, Wagatu TBC, and adjacent customers.
In Taita Taveta County, two areas will be affected.
Chakaleri and Kizima, including Landi Market, NYS Mgeno, Mzwanenyi, Mwatunge, Kizima, Msisinenyi, Majengo Singila, and adjacent customers will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The whole of Mwaranginyi, including Godoma, Mwemba, and adjacent customers, will also face outages during the same period.
