Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Thursday, October 9 morning flew out of the country for Entebbe, Uganda.
In a statement on his Facebook page, Kindiki said he will represent President William Ruto during Uganda’s 63rd Independence Day Celebrations.
The Deputy President was seen off by Kenya Air Force Commander Major General Bernard Waliaula at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
“Departed for Entebbe, Uganda to represent Kenya on behalf of President William Ruto during the 63rd Uganda Independence Day Celebrations,” said Kindiki.
This comes a month after Kindiki flew to Algiers, Algeria, to attend the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair on behalf of President Ruto.

The Deputy President led a Kenyan delegation that included National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula and several Members of Parliament.
“Departed with the Kenya delegation to participate in the fourth Intra Africa Trade Fair taking place in Algiers, Algeria,” Kindiki stated.
This is the second time DP Kindiki has flown to Uganda to represent President Ruto this year.
In April, the second command travelled to Entebbe to represent Ruto at the Extraordinary Summit of the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM).
At the time, the Head of State was on a state visit to the Republic of China.
DP Kindiki’s visit to Uganda also comes weeks after President Ruto flew to New York, USA, to attend the High-Level Week of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
During the event, held from September 22 to September 30, 2025, President Ruto championed reforms to address security challenges in Haiti, Sudan, DRC, Somalia, and South Sudan.
He also held bilateral talks with global leaders, development partners, and industry executives to advance Kenya’s interests, attract investment, and secure partnerships in key sectors.
