Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions in parts of four counties on Wednesday, August 12.
In a notice on Tuesday, August 11, the company said the outages will affect Nakuru, Migori, Meru and Mombasa counties.
In Nakuru County, parts of Salga Centre will experience a power interruption from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The affected areas include part of Salga Market, Sachangwan Market, NRWSC, Nguzo Water Project, Migaa Centre, GSU Molo Camp and Kibunja Market, together with adjacent customers.
In Migori County, Kenya Power will interrupt electricity supply in the Ngere and Alara areas from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The affected locations include Saria, Alara Nyambija, Nyangija Ngere, Kanyawanga, Kangeso, Kwoyo Kodalo and Ringa Kodogo, as well as adjacent customers.
Several areas in Meru County will also be affected by the planned maintenance.
In Nchiru, Kagaene and Machagene, the outage will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting part of Nchiru, Cedar Hotel, Mwithanga, Kanthiari, Uringu, Kamaroo, Mwathene Dispensary, Kimachia Secondary School, Kamaruki and Kagaene Shopping Centre.
Other affected locations in the same Meru area include Kithiri Polytechnic, Kimirii Centre, Mbeu Sub-District Hospital, Kaamu Primary School, Kiliati Mixed Secondary School and Machangene, together with adjacent customers.

In Laare and Mutuati Market, electricity will be interrupted for a longer period, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The affected areas include Mutuati, Laare, Kambi Kairanya, Antubetwe Kiongo, Kieni Kia Muti, and Karama Market.
Nkoe, Athawene, Mea, Kanuni, Kamukuji, Nkamathi, Mariri, Niaikuriu, Tuuru Mission, Ithata and Kamweline, alongside adjacent customers will also be affected.
The Thamaru and Ngunguru areas will also experience an outage from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected locations include Kahara Village, Karogoto Market, Kahiga Village, Thamaru Village, Ngunguru Secondary School, Kiambachi Village, Ngurumo Dispensary, Ngunguru C/Fact, Maingirano Village and Gatiki Village.
The planned interruption in this section will also affect Safaricom boosters and Airtel boosters, together with adjacent customers.
In Mombasa County, parts of Dolphine and Serena will experience a power interruption from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
The affected areas include Dolphine, Flamingo Pride Inn, Tembo Conference Centre, Kiluwa, Shasha, Navy, Shimo la Tewa High School, and Shanzu Teachers College.
Pride Inn Serena, Shanzu Garden, Cowrie Shell, Go Cart and Petrocity, together with adjacent customers will also be affected.
Kenya Power has also listed the Dolphine-Serena area for another planned interruption on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
