The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has concluded the registration of candidates for the upcoming by-elections, set to take place on November 27.
In a statement on Thursday, October 9, IEBC announced that a 10-day window will be open for resolving disputes arising from the candidate registration process.
"The Commission has today finalized the registration of candidates for the 24 electoral areas with by-elections scheduled for 27th November 2025.
"Following this, a 10-day window will be open for resolving any disputes arising from the candidate registration process," the statement read.
At the same time, as the campaign period progresses, IEBC urged the public and candidates to maintain peace throughout the campaign.

"The Commission calls upon candidates and members of the public to maintain peace and order during the campaign period. Candidates are urged to strictly adhere to the code of conduct during the electioneering period," the statement added.
IEBC reminded the candidates that all campaign activities are required to stop 48 hours before the election.

Earlier Thursday, IEBC also issued guidelines to aspirants on the campaign period and conduct ahead of the polls.
The commission clarified that only candidates who successfully pass the verification and registration exercise will be allowed to proceed with campaigns.
It reminded aspirants that campaigns are governed by specific timelines and must be conducted within the stipulated hours.
"Candidates are commencing campaigns upon successful registration by the respective Returning Officers. The campaigns shall end on Monday 24th November 2025, being 48 hours before the by-election day.
"The campaign time shall run daily from 7.00a.m. to 6.00p.m. during the campaign period," the statement read.
About a week earlier, IEBC announced temporary job opportunities across the country.
In a notice on Friday, October 3, the commission said it is seeking to recruit voter registration clerks for the 57 Huduma Centres nationwide.
The electoral body also said it is recruiting poll officials ahead of the upcoming by-elections.
"The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) seeks to recruit temporary staff to be engaged in the following capacities: Voter Registration Clerks: across the 57 Huduma centres in the Country," the notice read in part.
The by-elections include the Member of Senate seat for Baringo County and six National Assembly seats for Banissa, Kasipul, Magarini, Malava, Mbeere North, and Ugunja constituencies.
IEBC will also hold a by-election for 17 Members of the County Assemblies. This includes: Chewani (Tana River), Fafi (Garissa), Mumbuni North (Machakos), Lake Zone (Turkana), Nanaam (Turkana), Angata Nanyokie (Samburu), Tembeilo (Uasin Gishu), Metkei (Elgeyo Marakwet), and Chemundu (Nandi).
Others are Narok Town (Narok), Purko (Kajiado), Kisa East (Kakamega), Nyamaiya (Nyamira), Ekerenyo (Nyamira), Nyanisongo (Nyamira), Kariobangi North (Nairobi), and Kabuchai (Bungoma).
Interested candidates are required to visit https://jobs.iebc.or.ke to apply for the positions.
IEBC noted that the applications must be submitted exclusively through the online platform, not later than October 16, 2025.
