Following Raila's death, together with Raila’s daughter, Winnie Odinga, Ogeta welcomed the Kenyan delegation sent to oversee the repatriation of the former PM's remains back to Nairobi.
According to videos seen by Nairobileo.co.ke, Ogeta broke down in tears as Raila’s body was being loaded onto the plane for the journey home.
He was comforted by Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi and other members of the delegation in a scene that has since gone viral.
Upon landing at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Ogeta’s grief was again visible; viral photos showed him shedding tears as Raila’s body was being offloaded from the aircraft.
Family members and colleagues were seen consoling Ogeta after the somber arrival, recognizing the heavy emotional toll of losing a man he had served for years.
Later that evening, he was spotted at the Lee Funeral Home.
