Kisumu Woman Representative and Raila Odinga’s sister, Ruth Odinga, on Sunday, October 19, introduced her Ghanaian husband to the public.
Speaking during the funeral service of the late former Prime Minister in Bondo, Siaya County, Ruth presented her husband to the mourners.
“Many of you here never knew that I have a right hand. My right hand is here today,” said Ruth as she introduced her husband.
The Kisumu Women Rep’s husband, while adressing mourners, eulogized Raila as a person who stood for justice for the whole of the African continent.
He also remembered the ODM leader as one of the finest and greatest leaders on the continent.

“I am pleased to be here with special greetings from Ghana and from the Busia family and the royal family for the great man who is lying down there. I am so pleased to be here for a man who stood for justice for the whole of Africa.
“I am honored to part of this process of saying a farewell to one of our finest and greatest. He was a fine person with a finer mission and vision for our continent,” he stated.
The Kisumu Women representative also introduced her two sons to the public during the funeral.
At the same time, Ruth disclosed that her brother told her the ODM party must remain united and strong before he passed away.
“What you told me before you passed, ODM must be united and must be strong. We cannot have divisions in the party.
“ODM belongs to all of us. Some of you want to take it now don’t even know how we started ODM. We are going to go into negotiations with a strong and united ODM,” she stated.
This comes days after her brother Oburu Odinga introduced his two wives at Nyayo Stadium.
Speaking during the state funeral of the former Prime Minister on Friday, October 17, Oburu humorously introduced his wives.
"This is the lady who took me out of boyhood. She is a doctor, she is a pediatrician, and she is the one with whom we grew up together.
"I thought that now at my age, I don't want her to scratch me, I don't want her to massage me, so I brought her helper, Judith Oburu," Oburu said.
He introduced Judith Oburu, noting that she works with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and is a professional accountant.
