Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across seven counties on Sunday, November 23.
In a notice on Saturday, November 22, the company said the outages will allow for essential maintainance works and repairs
According to the notice, the outages will affect customers in Nairobi, Machakos, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, Kisii, and Kilifi counties.
In Nairobi County, power will be switched off from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Cotton Avenue and surrounding areas.
The affected locations include Cotton Road, part of Dennis Pritt Road, Kayawe Road, Galana Road, part of Argwings Kodhek Road, Ring Road Kilimani, part of Lenana Road, Chania Avenue, Wood Avenue, part of Kirichwa Road, Adlife Plaza, East Lands Hotel and the French School.

Others are Yaya Centre, Prestige Plaza, Mugo Kibiru, Moi Girls Kibera, Toi Market, Woodley Estate, Jamhuri Estate, Togo Flats, part of Suna Road, part of Ngong Road, Toi Primary, Ola Petrol Station, Naivas Argwings Kodhek Road, Joseph Kangethe Road, Nyeri Road, Mwingi Road, Othaya Road, Kaptei Gardens and Gatundu Close.
Part of Tende Drive, Apple Close, Kabaserian Avenue, Chalbi Drive, Kangemi Waruku, Lavington West, Njumbi Road, Muthangari Police, Kanjata Crescent, Muthangari Road, Oloitoktok Road, Riara Road, Siaya Road, Dikdik Gardens, Kileleshwa Police Station, Mandera Road, Mugumo Road, Mageta Road, Isaac Gathanju, Lavington Shopping Centre and part of Gitanga Road will also be affected.
Other affected areas are Elmolo Drive, Masanduku Lane, Maji Mazuri Avenue, Ndoto Road, Makini School, Jacaranda Avenue, Ole Dume Road, Menelik Road, Adams Arcade, Marakwet Road, Elgeyo Marakwet Road, Kilimani Road, Ndemi Road, Ring Road Kileleshwa, Koibatek Springs, Migori Road, Githunguri Road, Laikipia Road, Olenguruone Road, Valley Arcade, James Gichuru and adjacent customers.
In Machakos County, the Katani area will experience interruptions from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected zones include Shajanand, EPCO, Shangilia, Seme, Kambi, Blowplast, Kutchi Road, Greatwall Apartments, Rim House and adjacent customers.

In Nakuru County, part of Nakuru CBD will be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Areas listed include part of Moi Road, Nuru Palace, Sakinya Motors, Regena Hotel, Central Police, National Library, Moi Flats, SDA Church and adjacent customers.
In Uasin Gishu County, Biocorn and Steel Mills areas will be affected between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Other affected locations include Eldocraft, Kidiwa Estate, Mwanzo Estate, Majengo Catholic Church, Our Lady of Assumption School and adjacent customers.
Several parts of Kisumu County will also be without power.
In the Kibos Prison-CIBO area, the outage will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., covering Kibos Prison, Tamuwa, CIBO, White Coal, Sugar Research, Gita, Kajulu Water, Got Nyabondo and adjacent customers.
Muhoroni Town and its surroundings will be off from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including Agro-Chemical, Homaline, Koru Town, Tamu, Awasi Town, AFC, Muhoroni Factory, Songoh Market, Ziplin Factory, Golden Bricks, Gogni Quarry, Stone Field, Prime Steel, and Rock Land Quarry.
The Holo and Ngere areas will be affected between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., touching Holo, Kombewa, Kolenyo, Akado, Reru, Ngere High, and Bar Korua Girls Boarding.
Chiga and Kasese areas will experience interruptions from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including Land Matope, Masawa, Chiga Market, Kalusi, Rweya, Kasese, Obumba, Achuodho and adjacent customers.
In Kisii County, the Kiabusura and Motonto areas will be off from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Affected locations include Nyagoge Girls, Kiabusura, Motonto, Nyagancha Dispensary and adjacent customers.
In Kilifi County, Matsangoni area will face outages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Areas listed include Mpenda Kula, Matsangoni, Mkiringi, Uyombo, Gede, Mida, Roka, Mkangagani and adjacent customers.
