Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across 12 counties on Thursday, December 11.
In a notice on Wednesday, December 10, the company said the outages are necessary to facilitate network maintenance works.
In Nairobi County, several neighbourhoods will be without electricity for most of the day.
Parts of Muthaiga, including KCA, the Traffic Police Headquarters, sections of Utalii Hotel, Muthaiga Primary School, Mathari Teaching and Referral Hospital, Muthaiga Police, Muthaiga Golf Club Hotel and Karura Health Centre, will be affected.
Eastleigh residents will also experience outages covering Shauri Moyo AP Camp, Shauri Moyo Dispensary, Shauri Moyo Estate, Blue Estate, MOW, Kinyango, Section 3, Biafra Estate, Bahati Towers and nearby customers.

South C will also be hit, affecting areas along Muhoho Avenue, parts of Ole Shapara Avenue, Mama Ngina Children’s Home, Reliance Hospital, KEWI, various estates including Parkview, Heshima, Five Star, Olive Road and sections around Kawi Complex Road.
Additionally, Nasra Estate and Spine Road will experience interruptions between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., affecting Mama Lucy Hospital, Nasra Estate, Naivas Supermarket, Bee Centre, Shell Petrol Station, Sosion Estate and Shujaa Mall.
In Machakos County, the outages will cover the entire Tala and Kangundo Road zone.
Areas such as Nguluni Township, Tala High School, Matungulu Boys and Girls high schools, Tala Market and Kangundo Town will be affected.
The interruption includes a wide cluster of villages and market centres stretching across Kitunduni, Katine, Mukuyuni, Kinyui Market, Matheini, Misyani, Sengani and many others, touching nearly all major settlements in the region.

In Kericho County, the Londiani area will go offline between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The maintenance will affect Sachangwan, Kamaua, Farmers, Londiani Girls, Gwitu Village, KEFRI, DFO and Sacred Heart Girls alongside surrounding customers.
In Uasin Gishu County, Lingwai and Bindura localities including Ngeny Bindura, Tulwet, Chuiyat, Kamiywo and Bayete will experience interruptions.
In Nandi County, Tembwo Village, Koimet Village and Chebindara Village will be off supply from morning until 6:00 p.m.
In Kisumu County, consumers around the Kesref area, including Kibos Prisons, Tamuwa, Cibo, White Coal, Sugar Research, Gita and Kajulu Water, will be affected.
In Kakamega County, power will be interrupted in Lubao and surrounding areas.
This includes Ebwabwa, Shinyalu Bar, Bishop Stamp, Emusala, KMTC, the New National Housing area, Shikutsa Prison, Emukaba and Bukhaiywa, including Bukhaiywa Secondary.
In Busia County, Nambale and its surroundings will also be affected.
The outage covers Mungatsi Market, Madende and Elwanikha secondary schools, Esidende Polytechnic, Kwangamor Market, Kamolo, Musokoto, Igara, Lupida Health Centre, Busibwabo and Lwanyange.
In Vihiga County, Sabatia will experience a full-day interruption, affecting Sabatia Eye Hospital, Vokoli, Mago, Busweta, Galagosi, Chakanga, Itegero, Budaywa, Bugina, Mudungu, Nabwani, Chavogere and neighbouring areas.
In Nyeri County, the outage will touch Kariko and nearby areas including Kinu, Gathera, Kariko Market, Kianduma, Ciagumba, Muirungi Secondary School, Ngaru Market and Kiangima.
In Kiambu County, Thogoto and the PCEA Hospital area will be off supply for the day. Affected institutions include UoN Kikuyu Campus, Kikuyu PCEA Hospital, Alliance High School (Boys and Girls), Thogoto Shopping Centre and Thogoto TCC.
In Garissa County, Kenya Power will interrupt supply in Garissa, Modika and surrounding neighbourhoods.
The Garissa Referral Hospital, Garissa Ndogo, Water Revenue Offices, Bulla Mzuri, Bashal, Tawakal, South C, Garissa County Assembly, Garissa University, Modika Barracks and the Water Treatment Plant are among the areas affected.
