First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto has celebrated her husband, President William Ruto, on his special day on Sunday, December 21.
The president marked his 59th birthday on the day.
In a heartwarming message to the head of state, the first lady recognised his position in her life.
She marvelled at the growth they have had in their journey as a couple over the years.
Rachel appreciated Ruto's commitment to the country's wellness as its leader, noting that the years he has lived thus far have marked moments of growth, not only as her partner but also as a leader.

"My dear Bill, happy birthday! Today, I thank God for the gift of your life, for the journey we have walked together, for your courage in moments of uncertainty, and for the steady love and discipline with which you carry the weight of leadership," she said.
She interceded for the president's good health, peace and strength, which she suggested he needs in his commitment to drive Kenya to prosperity.

Recognising Ruto as the head of her family, the first lady further prayed that he gets the strength to continue steering their family to greatness.
"I have seen your heart for Kenya, your tireless commitment to serve, and the quiet sacrifices that often go unseen. As you mark another year, my prayer is that God grants you good health, inner peace, and renewed strength," Rachel said.
"May He surround you with wisdom, protect your steps, and reward your labour with hope for our nation and joy in our family. With all my love and gratitude, I celebrate you, not only as a leader, a father and a husband, but also as the man God has entrusted to us," she added.
Other leaders had earlier sent the president message of goodwill on his birthday;

"As you mark another year today, I convey my sincere best wishes. Wishing you strength and success as you continue to serve our country and many more years of meaningful and transformative leadership. Ruto was born on December 21, 1966, in Kamagut, Uasin Gishu County," wrote Health CS Aden Duale.
"As you reflect on the year that was and pray for this new year, I wish that the Almighty may grant you the wisdom and strength to fully implement your bold vision for this country so that the welfare of all Kenyan workers may be significantly enhanced," wrote COTU boss Francis Atwoli.
Ruto was born on December 21, 1966, in Kamagut, Uasin Gishu County.
He would meet Rachel 25 years later, getting engaged to her in 1991.
The couple has seven children.
