Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions in seven counties on Thursday, August 13.
In a notice on Wednesday, August 13, the company said the outages will affect customers in selected areas of Migori, Murang’a, Meru, Kiambu, Nakuru, Kilifi and Mombasa counties
In Migori County, the interruption will affect Kokuro and Siruti areas from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Areas affected include Obama, Kokuro, Nyatambe, Siruti, Ondome, Gamba Sec, Kanyaslega and Nyamasaria, among other adjacent areas.
In Murang’a County, customers in Kirere, Kaimiri, Muthithi and Karuri will be without electricity from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The affected areas include Mutunguru, Kangondu, Kiriangoro, Kirere, Kahethu, Kaimiri, Migwini, Ngamburi, Gikomora, Muthithi Market, Karuri and Njora.
In Meru County, the scheduled outage will run from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. in Kaaga, Kithoka and Nkoune.
The affected locations include Nkoune, Mwiriene Primary School, Meru Teachers College, Mwithumwilu Secondary School, Kaaga Girls High School, Mpakone Village, the whole of Kaaga, Safaricom Kaaga, LR Petrol Station, Gatimene Gardens, and Runogone.
Others are KEMU University, Tuliza FM, Gakurine, Kiandiu, Chungu, Kwiriro Market, Runongone Airtel, Kaithe Market, Kithoka, Fred's Academy, Thiiri Cultural Centre and Bishop Lawi Imathiu Primary and Secondary Schools, among other adjacent customers.
In Kiambu County, two areas will be affected by the planned maintenance.
Customers in Kanunga and Kiamara Estate will experience an interruption from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., affecting Valentine Growers, Kashphat, Kanunga High, Ngegu, Turitu and Kiamara.
The second interruption in Kiambu will affect parts of Limuru Town and Karanjee during the same hours.
Areas listed include Karanjee, parts of Limuru Town, parts of Rironi, Ngenia, Mutarakwa, Stephjoy, Nderu, Thigio, Rosmali, Ndioni, Kireri and Nguirubi.
In Nakuru County, customers in Mai Mahiu will experience an electricity interruption from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
The affected areas include River Springs Hotel, Mayers, Namja, China Wu-Yi, Gold Stone Quarry, Manyata Quarry, Yellow Stones Quarry, Kingston Quarry, Ewaso Kedong Market, Najire Girls and Earth Station.
In the Coast Region, parts of Kilifi County will be affected from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. in Kayuni, Gede and Kasufini.
The affected areas include Malindi Handcraft, Mshongoleni, Mkao Moto, Paguo, Kwa Abudu and Kasufini.
Parts of Mombasa County will also experience an outage from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. in parts of Likoni.
The affected areas include Pentagon, Mrima, Kwa Water, Bilal, Mwananzia, Nyumba ya Meli, Mwananguvuze, Office ya Jaara, and Approved.
Gambani, Tonge Nyama, Kwanziwe, part of Maweni and Barabara ya Mchanga, among other adjacent customers will also be affected.
