Most parts of the country will remain generally dry on Saturday, August 29, according to the latest forecast issued by the Kenya Meteorological Department.
The agency's daily bulletin, issued on Friday and covering the period from 9pm that evening to 9pm on Saturday, indicates that isolated rainfall is expected in parts of Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale counties, with light showers forecast over a few places during the morning hours before giving way to sunny intervals in the afternoon.
Strong winds are also expected across several counties.
The department warned of southerly to southeasterly winds exceeding 25 knots, or roughly 12.5 metres per second, over parts of Turkana, Marsabit, Isiolo, Garissa, Mandera, Wajir, Tana River, Taita Taveta, Kwale, Kilifi, Lamu and Kitui counties.
Temperatures are set to vary widely across the country. Mandera is forecast to record the highest daytime maximum at 37°C, followed by Wajir at 35°C and Garissa at 34°C.

At the other end of the scale, Nyandarua is expected to register the lowest minimum temperature at just 6°C, with Machakos following at 11°C.
In Nairobi, residents can expect partly cloudy conditions overnight, giving way to sunny intervals through the morning and afternoon, with temperatures ranging between a low of 12°C and a high of 26°C.
Several counties, including Meru, Tharaka-Nithi, Embu and Kirinyaga, are forecast to experience light showers over a few places overnight, though clearer skies are expected to dominate by morning.
Rainfall data recorded over the preceding 24 hours, between August 27 and 28, showed Malindi receiving the highest amount at just over 3mm, followed closely by Mtwapa.
Lamu recorded just under 2mm, while Msabaha and Mombasa registered negligible amounts.
