"his kiherehere boy called Junet Mohamed has been assuring Ruto that he can bring Matiang'i."
Democracy for the Citizens Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua has sensationally claimed that President William Ruto has approached most, if not all, leaders in the United Opposition in an attempt to 'buy' them
Speaking in the USA on Saturday, September 13, Gachagua stated that Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Jubilee's Fred Matiang'i had received multiple advances from Ruto to support his re-election
"This young boy called Sifuna, Kasongo has sent for him very many times. However, he has maintained that Raila told him that Ruto is too rogue to be Kenya's President, and so he refused," he stated.
Gachagua explained that in Matiang'i's case, the wooing also included sending emissaries and using intimidation, citing an alleged arm-twisting over the Ruaraka Land Scam.
He alleged that the Head of State sent NIS Boss Noordin Haji to broker a deal with him, but the former Interior Cabinet Secretary turned him down.

The DCP Leader sensationally claimed that Suna East Member of Parliament (MP) Junet Mohamed had promised Ruto that he could deliver Matiang'i to the re-election bandwagon.
"They sent Noordin Haji to talk with him, but he shared with us. He said no. This kiherehere boy called Junet Mohamed has been assuring Ruto that he can bring Matiang'i, but the former CS is clear that he cannot betray the people of Kenya," he stated.
He added that Ruto wanted Eugene Wamalwa to serve in his Cabinet after the Gen Z protests, but the DAP-K leader declined to work with him.
Nonetheless, the former Deputy President joked that his former boss has never approached People's Liberation Front Leader Martha Karua because he knows that she would never enter into any deal with him.
Gachagua noted that whenever he receives intel on any attempts by those in government to meet leaders in the United Opposition, he always shares it with his fellow patrons.
He slammed Presidential Advisor Moses Kuria for alleging that he and Ruto would meet in the United States of America.
The DCP Leader termed it a plan to cause chaos and confusion within the Opposition and was confident that the plan would not work.
He further called on the leaders in the Opposition to remain steadfast because only a united front will remove Ruto from office.
