"Yesterday Babu Owino called me, and he was crying like a three-year-old baby."

On Wednesday, September 17, Suna East Member of Parliament (MP) Junet Mohamed sensationally claimed that Embakasi East MP Babu Owino reached out to him to complain about the infighting in Linda Mwananchi.

Speaking in Sibuoche, Migori County, Junet claimed that Babu opened up about the reservations he had about the faction which is led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

He claimed that his colleague was concerned about Linda Mwananchi's direction following a myriad of events within the faction in recent times.

"There is infighting within Linda Sponsor, which has now become Linda Sifuna. Yesterday Babu Owino called me, and he was crying like a three-year-old baby.

"He told me that he did not know that those in Linda Mwananchi were taking him in the wrong direction,"  Junet claimed.

The Suna East lawmaker intimated that he advised Babu to return to ODM, so that they could rebuild the Orange Party together. He added that under ODM, he was more certain about his gubernatorial bid.

"Babu, please come back home to ODM. Let us build the party together so that we can help you if you want to become the governor," Junet added.

His sentiment came a day after Babu came out to clear the air about his relationship with Sifuna amid whispers that the two were at loggerheads.

The Embakasi East MP maintained that he had no issue with the Nairobi Senator because the two were running for different elective seats in 2027.

He further disclosed that he would skip some of Linda Mwananchi's rallies across the country so he could focus on his campaign for the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat.

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has claimed that Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya will cause Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna’s downfall. 

Amisi accused Governor Natembeya of causing wrangles within the Linda Mwananchi movement. The ODM lawmaker alleged that Governor Natembeya is pushing out some politicians from the movement. 

“You want Sifuna to be President, yet you are disrupting the people who are supposed to help make him President. George Natembeya is actually Sifuna’s downfall,” Amisi claimed.
