In a statement on Thursday, September 17, the company said the suspects, identified as Douglas Kyalo Mbuvi, Joseph Mulei Musovo, Benson Muchiri Kaburia and Peter Musyimi Keli, were arrested on Wednesday, September 16, by its security team in collaboration with Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers from Kitui.
Kenya Power said the suspects were intercepted while travelling in a vehicle whose number plates had been concealed.
A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of copper winding and several tools suspected to have been used in the vandalism.
"The four were in a motor vehicle with concealed number plates when they were ordered by the security agencies to stop.

"Upon searching the vehicle, the security officers found one drum of copper winding and other items including assorted spanners, hacksaw, panga,hammer, among others," the statement read.
Kenya Power said investigations further led security officers to locations where several transformers had allegedly been vandalised.
The suspects reportedly directed the team to Kamuungu Primary School and Kangweni village.
"The suspects led the team to Kamuungu Primary School where they had vandalised a 35kva transformer, and Kangweni village, where they had vandalised a 200Kva and a 100Kva transformers," the statement added.
According to Kenya Power, following their arrest, the four suspects were booked at Kitui Police Station pending further investigations and possible legal action.
The company also said the vehicle used by the suspects was detained at the police station as investigations into the alleged offences continued.
Kenya Power urged members of the public to avoid participating in corrupt practices and to provide information on malpractice involving electricity infrastructure and services.
"We also call on our customers and the public to refuse to engage in corrupt practices and to report any malpractice," the statement concluded.
This comes days after police officers arrested two suspects in an operation targeting the theft and handling of electricity infrastructure in Lucky Summer, Nairobi.
In a statement on Wednesday, September 16, the National Police Service (NPS) said the operation was conducted by officers from Lucky Summer and Ruaraka Police Stations in collaboration with Kenya Power personnel.
During the operation, the police officers recovered Kenya Power electricity meters and other assorted items suspected to have been stolen.
"An operation targeting the theft and handling of electricity infrastructure in Lucky Summer, Nairobi, has led to the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of several Kenya Power electricity meters and other assorted items suspected to have been stolen.
"The operation was conducted yesterday by officers from Lucky Summer and Ruaraka Police Stations, working alongside Kenya Power personnel, following information received concerning stolen electricity meters within the area," the statement read in part.
