DJ Evolve now wants the case against Babu Owino withdrawn

Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve who was shot by Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino now wants to withdraw the case.

The DJ told the court after deliberations with his family, they had agreed he concentrates on his healing rather than the pending case.

However, the prosecutor argued that they need more time to assess DJ Evolve’s mental state before they can withdraw the charges.

The request by the DPP was allowed by the court and the matter set to be mentioned on November 9, 2020.

Family's plea

In the past, DJ Evolve's father defended the Embakasi East MP Babu Owino following an expose by NTV on the state of the entertainer.

John Orinda, the father, said the ODM legislator has been in constant communication with the family.

“Iko madawa anapatiwa na yule anayeleta hizo madawa ni Babu Owino. Nurses wako naye mchana na usiku na hao pia ni Babu Owino aliprovide. Naona kama Babu Owino si mtu mbaya sana ingawa hatujakutana naye tuongee lakini hatapotea,” the father stated.

He appealed to Owino to continue helping the family by catering for the medication of DJ Evolve as the treatment is expensive for the family.
