Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity outages in parts of Trans Nzoia and Uasin Gishu counties on Saturday, October 10.
In a notice on Friday, October 9, the company said the power interruptions will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting several residential areas and other customers in the two counties.
In Trans Nzoia County, the outage will affect Moisbridge, Chukura, Matunda, Kapkoi and Kona Mbaya, among other surrounding areas.
The affected areas include parts of Moisbridge Centre, Konambaya, Loreto Chukura, Matunda Centre, Moisbridge Secondary School, Moisbridge Quarry, Milimani, Chukura, Moisbridge Cereals and Cropack.
Other affected customers will include those in Kapkoi and adjacent areas.

In Uasin Gishu County, the scheduled maintenance will affect Pan Paper Market, Nzoia Quarry and Lwanda.
The affected areas include Pan Paper Market, Marula, St. Gabriel, KMTC Lugari, Saleh, Nabemo and adjacent customers.

Meanwhile, Kenya Power has announced a five-hour disruption to its telephone contact centre services on Sunday, October 11, due to scheduled system maintenance.
In a notice on Friday, October 9, the company said the maintenance would take place between midnight and 5:00 a.m.
"Please note that we will carry out a system maintenance on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 12:00 a.m (midnight) to 5:00 a.m," the notice read.
Kenya Power said the scheduled maintenance will affect telephone-based customer support during the five-hour window.
"As a result, access to our contact centre through telephone calls will be unavailable," the notice added.
Kenya Power clarified that other platforms would remain operational throughout the maintenance period, allowing customers to continue contacting the company through digital channels.
"However, all other communication channels including emails, social media, *977# and MyPower App, among others, will be available. We apologise for any inconvenience caused," the notice concluded.
