Former nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura has alleged that he is the person with the most votes in the Senate.
While appearing on Citizen TV's Day Break show, the legislator was asked as to whether he has been poached by the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and if he can be trusted to deliver.
The question was prompted by Mwaura's shift in political parties having been a nominated member of parliament for ODM Party between 2013 and 2016 when he was poached by Jubilee Party and nominated as a Senator in 2017 prior to his unceremonious ouster after he declared support for Deputy President William Ruto and UDA.
In response, Mwaura claimed that he has a proven track record that speaks for itself and can be trusted to deliver.
"I can be trusted because I can deliver. Right now I am the person with the most votes in Senate.

"All the young people in this country right now are not paying money to apply for jobs because I filed a petition on behalf of them," Mwaura stated.
He further noted that he was responsible for the removal of CRB listings among youths.
Mwaura referenced his efforts in the fight for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) noting that because of him, they are not being admitted into security institutions including some being employed as prison warders.
Responding to why he was ousted from Jubilee, he claimed that he is a consistent defender of justice and that is why he found himself in such tribulations.
"I questioned the modus operandi of the party, in terms of not having regular meetings, in terms of decisions not being made in a democratic manner, and I was even calling for a truce between Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke.
"The issue of public debt and the economy. I started raising this issue back in 2014, and they are coming to fruition," he said.
