A road sign baring the name of veteran trade unionist and COTU boss Francis Atwoili has been burned down.
The road sign in Kileleshwa area, Nairobi was burned down by unknown persons on Monday night.
The naming of the road after Atwoli has been a subject of debate, with some netizens claiming that the COTU boss did not merit the honour.
A few days after the sign was unveiled, an unknown person uprooted it, forcing the Nairobi County government to reinstall it, and place CCTV cameras along the road for surveillance.

A few days later, Human rights activist Boniface Mwangi led a group of Kenyans to the road hoping to uproot the poster, but they found another group of men guarding it.
However, this was not the end as someone decided to set the road sign on fire at night.
