Former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero allegedly paid ex Woman Rep Rachel Shebesh Sh30 million for slapping her.
Speaking during an interview Shebesh said they resolved to have an out-of-court settlement which saw her paid the hefty amount.
“Kidero alilipa doo mingi sana, pesa mingi sana, hawezi repeat. Sikutokaga hivyo. To slap a woman in this country nowadays there is precedence na sijui kama watu wako na dooo wanaweza kulipa," the ex Woman Rep said.
"Alilipa almost Ksh30 million (Kidero paid me a lot of money. I didn’t just accept to let go like that. I wanted to set a precedence),” she added.
She was hosted during an interview at Ghetto Radio where she called out Kidero for lack of self-control and assaulting a woman.

Shebesh further noted that during his stint in officer Kidero was very arrogant and when he slapped her he thought he would get away with it.
But Shebesh noted that she stood her ground after the assault and set a precedence that made male politicians respect and desist from assaulting their female colleagues.
“If I did not go strong on Kidero, I would have opened a floodgate of every woman vying for a seat being treated in the same way Kidero treated me,” she said.
Kidero slapped Shebesh in 2013 during a heated exchange outside his office. Shebesh had confronted Kidero over a strike by county employees’ that had paralysed operations, over unpaid salaries.
